Tapping into Tomorrow’s Talent: Our Impact at the Cape Town Recruitment Fair

We proudly stepped into one of Cape Town’s most vibrant recruitment platforms a dynamic fair that drew in over 500 job seekers in pursuit of meaningful careers, personal growth, and new beginnings.

Our mission?
To connect, inspire, and invest in the future of work.

As part of our ongoing commitment to building a robust, national talent pipeline, we showed up with intention spotlighting learnerships and merchandising roles that unlock real opportunity and connecting directly with high-potential candidates across the Western Cape.

A Strategic Step Forward

This wasn’t a one-off activation it formed a critical part of our broader recruitment strategy. High-impact engagements like this allow us to source talent at scale, deepen our employer brand visibility, and demonstrate our position as a socially responsible, future-focused employer in the retail and FMCG sector.

More than a talent drive, this was about building early relationships with tomorrow’s workforce those ready to learn, contribute, and grow.

What We Came to Share

Our combined HR and Ops teams delivered a message that was both clear and compelling:

  • Learnerships offer structured training, real-world experience, and a pathway to meaningful career growth.
  • Merchandising is a dynamic, long-term career track within the fast-paced FMCG industry.
  • Our national footprint creates opportunities across multiple regions, supported by a culture rooted in mentorship and continuous development.
  • We are a business defined by excellence, innovation, and teamwork.

The level of energy and engagement on the day was truly inspiring. We received thoughtful questions around programme structure, eligibility, growth opportunities, and post-learnership prospects. The overwhelming response to our learnership offering reinforced a powerful insight that young South Africans are hungry for skills, opportunity, and a chance to build futures of substance.

A Moment of Prestige

A proud moment was meeting the Mayor of Cape Town, whose presence brought an added layer of significance to the event. It affirmed our shared mission with government: to drive youth employment and economic empowerment. It was more than visibility it was about partnership, purpose, and social impact.

What Happens Next

While no formal interviews were conducted onsite, the event was a tremendous success in building our recruitment pipeline. All leads gathered are now being screened, segmented by region and role, and entered the next phase of our recruitment journey. In the coming weeks, selected candidates will be contacted for interviews and assessments.

Looking Ahead

Inspired by the outcomes of this activation, we plan to extend our presence at similar recruitment fairs across South Africa. These platforms allow us to do more than fill roles they empower us to engage with communities, ignite careers, and support our transformation and inclusion goals through action.

Here’s to building futures — one meaningful connection at a time.
