GLENN BRAUNS
CEO

Glenn brings over two decades of FMCG expertise, cultivated through senior roles in three top multinational corporations. His extensive background spans sales, customer relations, marketing, trade marketing, and strategy, across diverse product categories from food to personal care. With first-hand exposure to industry giants like Wal-Mart and Carrefour, Glenn is primed to navigate the fast-paced evolution of our sector. Glenn initially joined PnS as a Commercial Director, quickly gaining deep knowledge of client needs and the challenges of retail services. Committed to staying ahead of the curve, he ensures that our clients receive unmatched service from a team that truly delivers on its promises.

Zunaid Ismail
Chief Growth & Innovation Officer

Zunaid’s journey in retail began on the frontline, managing a group of SPAR stores before ascending to Senior Regional Manager at Smollan, where he oversaw a portfolio of convenience stores. His expertise further flourished at Kimberly-Clark before joining PnS in 2008. Initially leading as Information Management System Head, he swiftly rose to the role of Director, spearheading the development and implementation of cutting-edge IT initiatives. With both the breadth and depth of his experience, Zunaid leads the group’s growth portfolio.

Theresa Nel
Commercial Director

Theresa has dedicated her career to FMCG retail services, demonstrating her commitment to excellence since joining the PnS Group in 2001 as a Franchise Specialist. Throughout her tenure, she has held diverse roles across the client portfolio, including Sales, National Accounts, Commercial General Manager and ultimately as a Divisional Commercial Director. Passionate about cultivating empowered and supported teams, Theresa prioritises the client experience above all else. She firmly believes in placing clients at the forefront of every decision, ensuring alignment of services and internal stakeholders with evolving client needs. Through steadfast commitment to consistent delivery, Theresa fosters trust with our valued clients.

Willie Pretorius
Chief Financial Officer

With a diverse background spanning the construction, FMCG, and manufacturing sectors, Willie brings a wealth of experience to PnS. He has held pivotal roles at Murray and Roberts, as well as the multinational S&P500 company McCormick. Willie’s expertise encompasses financial accounting, procurement, and audit, affording him a deep understanding of the entire supply chain. “Staying attuned to market dynamics has never been more vital. We are committed to maintaining cost efficiency while empowering our teams with the knowledge and resources to deliver the exceptional results our clients rightfully expect.”

Melanie Brink
Chief Marketing Officer

Melanie brings over 25 years of expertise in the corporate arena, marked by a distinguished track record spanning various domains including Project Management, Marketing Communications, Digital & Social Marketing, B2B and B2C Strategies and Marketing Operations. Her professional journey commenced in the IT sector, and she later transitioned into retail, joining the Marketing team at Makro. Her tenure of over thirteen years at Makro in marketing operations management was characterised by her pivotal role in crafting strategic partnerships, driving customer acquisition and retention. She then joined Dis-Chem Pharmacies as Digital Marketing Manager. Here, she continued to demonstrate her trademark attributes of energetic enthusiasm, creativity, and a results-driven approach, contributing to building the organisation’s digital footprint and market presence. Melanie joined PnS in June 2024.

Morne Small
Chief Operations Office

Morne assumed the role of Commercial Director for the newly established Agility In-Store Division in 2019. Tasked with serving a diverse clientele across multiple categories, including frozen, perishables, ambient grocery, personal care, beverages, and stationery, Morne is entrusted with delivering exceptional results. Known for his discipline and unwavering commitment, Morne prioritises cultivating client partnerships rooted in trust and mutual value creation. In an ever-evolving and competitive retail landscape, Morne emphasises the importance of collaborative relationships characterised by partnership. By closely collaborating with clients, he strives to unlock efficiency and unearth opportunities that drive growth.

Michelle Chandler
Chief People Officer

Michelle has 25 years of experience in human capital management spanning the financial services and retail sectors. Her career trajectory led her to cultivate extensive expertise in human capital strategy and practice. Over her career, Michelle has also served in retail operations and generalist commercial roles; but her true calling lies with people; empowering individuals and unlocking potential. She is passionate in the pursuit of understanding how individuals and organisations interact and develop, and the complex systems which they leverage to deliver value and innovate.

Ruan Lombard
Chief Information Officer

Ruan is an accomplished IT leader with expertise in conceptualising, constructing, and refining top-tier IT software, infrastructure, and operations to bolster business intelligence. Leading a dedicated team, Ruan oversees the management of hardware, software development, and a myriad of ICT systems connecting our back office, offices, field operations, and call centre with client systems. At the core of our business strategy lies digitisation and data management, championed by Ruan and his team. By harnessing technology, we optimise resource deployment and prioritise key opportunities to drive our clients’ businesses forward in the retail space.

Clemen Mashonga
Chief Commercial Officer

Clemen brings over two decades of retail services expertise, commencing his journey as a Merchandiser before ascending through roles in Sales, Area Management, and eventually transitioning to Regional and National Client Account Management. Throughout his career, Clemen has prioritised ongoing education, viewing it as indispensable to his personal and his team’s development. Progressing to a General Manager role and subsequently to Commercial Director, Clemen now spearheads our dedicated structures, offering a distinctive perspective on client needs and evolution. His commitment to remaining future-ready underscores his focus and dedication as a talented executive in our organisation.
