For PnS Group, this milestone made the 2026 National Pyramid Awards particularly meaningful. Held as part of our 50 Years of Impact celebrations, the evening brought together colleagues, leaders and partners to recognise the individuals whose commitment and performance continue to move our business forward.
More than an annual celebration, the National Pyramid Awards recognise those who go beyond expectations, deliver for our clients and set the standard for excellence across our operations. Their contributions, often made through the work they do every day in stores, regions and teams throughout South Africa, are central to our success.
A legacy that continues to inspire
Every great business begins with a vision. For PnS Group, that vision began with our founder, Mervyn Haywood, in 1976.
What started as a small operation has grown into a business powered by thousands of people, supported by enduring relationships and driven by a commitment to meaningful impact. As we celebrate 50 years, we honour the vision and values that continue to guide us.
One of the evening’s most significant moments was the renaming of the CEO’s Architect Award to the
Mervyn Haywood Architect Award, in recognition of our founder and the foundations he laid.
Group CEO Glenn Brauns presented the inaugural award to Mervyn’s daughter, Tracy Lewis, who accepted it on behalf of the Haywood family. It was a fitting tribute to the man whose vision continues to influence the business we are today.

Across our divisions and regions, our teams work tirelessly to represent our clients’ brands with care, consistency and pride. From ensuring products are visible and available in-store to driving field performance, supporting sales and leading teams, their work makes a tangible difference.

It was an honour to welcome Colgate-Palmolive and Kimberly-Clark to our National Pyramid Awards as our founding clients, who have been part of our journey since it began 50 years ago.
During the evening, both received the Builders Builder Award, recognising five decades of trust, collaboration and shared commitment that have helped shape our business.
