Celebrating inspiring Youth, with Sauce, Spice and a bit of Rap!
At PnS, we believe in the power of community enrichment, which is why we were honored to participate in the recent Youth of the Year celebration hosted by our esteemed client, Nando’s, for the Boys and Girls Club of South Africa (BGCSA). This event, held at Nando’s Central Kitchen Head Office, was a vibrant testament to the potential and resilience of our young people.

The BGCSA is a beacon of hope, offering vital support and resources to young people striving to fulfil their potential. Through a diverse array of after-school programs ranging from Education and IT to Life Skills and Sports, BGCSA empowers local youth to thrive in all aspects of life.

As guests of Nando’s, a corporate partner to BGCSA, we were privileged to witness the celebration of remarkable achievements by youth from various clubs. BGCSA CEO, Mr. Mike McTernan, welcomed guests and club members, after which our own Director, Clemen Mashonga, shared a deeply personal journey of triumph over adversity. The highlight of the event was the heartfelt speeches delivered by the youth award winners. From poignant reflections to a spontaneous rap performance, the celebration resonated with joy, gratitude, and invaluable life lessons.

Clemen left the audience with these reflections, true at all ages:

Diligence and perseverance: Success is attainable through unwavering determination and consistency.
Embrace your roots: Use your background as a source of strength and inspiration, rather than a limitation.
Guiding values: Surround yourself with positivity and let the values instilled by mentors guide your path.
Clear vision: Define your goals with clarity and keep them in focus as you navigate life’s journey.
Self-belief and altruism: Believe in yourself, and let acts of kindness illuminate your path to success.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to BGCSA and Nando’s for inviting us to be part of the celebration and for the ‘sauce and spice’ they collectively bring to our communities! We look forward to continuing to contribute as corporate citizens to building a brighter future for generations to come.
