Impact
is our Purpose

Our purpose is to have meaningful Impact on society and be a catalyst for positive change. This begins with in-store impact for our clients, which enables us to fulfil our greater purpose of developing our people’s potential. We want to contribute to building a more hopeful future for all.

Vision

To be the most respected retail execution business at delivering the best brand impact and value for our clients and customers in-store.

Mission

To consistently deliver operational excellence by flawlessly executing to our client’s requirements – and beyond

Values

Integrity First > We will do what we say we will do. We will always do the right thing rather than the easiest or most expedient thing. We value honesty, accuracy and character.

Disciplined Delivery > We work hard and are results driven. We also work smartly and seek to continuously improve our effectiveness at delivering impact in-store. We aim for executional excellence that exceeds 100%.

A Passionate Team Culture > Productive, constant collaboration. We are passionate about the brands we represent, and are proud of being associated with their stature in the market. Our livelihoods and success are integral to theirs.

Power of Partnerships > Co-creating our mutual success. Success is not independent. It is interdependent. We believe in the power of partnership and mutual success. We will actively build and strengthen our partnerships, which will help us to leapfrog hurdles and to gain ground.

Growth & Evolution > Expansive, continuous progress We’re grateful for the advantage of experience but committed to remaining relevant and future fit. We will pursue accelerated growth by growing our people, our client’s brands and our business by learning and adapting every day, so we’re better than yesterday.

Social Impact

Being able to make a greater impact on our country is at the centre of our value system and we believe the way to do this is through the development of the potential in people. Our education system is in crisis and as a nation we score consistently poorly across the board in international benchmarking exercises. We believe we have to begin here, from the foundations up, and want to participate in creating a different and distinctive future.

Environmental Impact

We’re determined to build the best business in our industry by developing and evolving sustainable ways of working that ensure success in our performance, progress for our people and the lightest impact on our planet. It begins with every individual and a culture of self-examination. We will not solve the world’s problems, but we will each be personal participants in driving the change we can within our sphere of influence. Every person must own the difference they make, every day.

PnS is committed to a journey to limit and reduce the impact on the environment by pursuing digitisation across the business, reducing the energy we consume and re-using or recycling what we can. This includes paper, printing and board, energy, water and waste management. Our POS specialists have an exciting pioneering project recycling and upcycling POS material, as an example.

Partnerships

Valued Clients

Our business revolves around our client needs, which have shaped how the business has evolved and resulted in some founding client partnerships of over forty years. PnS has a powerful and vastly diverse client base most of whom are multi-nationals whose brands lead or are second in their categories. Separate syndicated divisions handle segregated groups of clients and dedicated divisions focus on one brand owners product basket. Partnership is a core business value and we strive to earn this standing with our clients, based on our collective commitment to delivery and ensuring we’re continuously adding value.

CA&S Group Shareholding

PnS’s largest shareholder is the CA&S Group, a collective of FMCG businesses that operate across the Southern African region. The group delivers route-to-market services to global brand owners including sales, merchandising, warehousing, distribution, shopper marketing promotions, training and debtor’s administration.

CA&S is well positioned to take advantage of a growing African consumer market as increasing urbanisation drives the formalisation of retail and the demand for services in this sector. Local business heads have deep country and trading experience. Close group collaboration ensures the power of the collective is leveraged beyond borders.
